Dear Doctor Adrian,

1) Appreciating that you are a pediatrician in Ca--and my US born, unvaxxed , daughter birthed twins there 3 wk ago, instantly doubling size of family

2) Appreciating your attitude toward marriage: as said child's parents (us) reached 51 years last month, and that son in law's parents not far behind.

In fact, my attitude toward future SIL's is this: are the parents now in their original marriage? One can come to Christ at any time, but a 'marriage' destroyed tells children that, well, marriages are not meant to last until death parts the married. Can't get over that. No change possible. My two married children (one yet 'to go') married men of this status.

Wondering if somehow, through the thickets and tangles, one could ( and how) discover a pediatrician of wisdom in the Canadian 'wilderness

I've never heard a conservative or right-leaning friend talk about QAnon. The only places I have ever heard of it are in hysterical liberal rants. Someone in my neighborhood NextDoor forum responded to a post about this movie with bizarre shrieks about QAnon. It's really so strange.

I have watched many a Thin Man movie which I have enjoyed but … Powell’s character drinks too much and the dog is a surrogate child (that part wouldn’t even need to be changed for the Remake, alas).

So I might offer up one of my fav re-kindle the romance movies: Date Night with Tina Fey & Steve Carell. Nothing sweeps a (married) girl off her feet then when your seemingly hapless husband cleverly saves you from the Baddies.

Thank you for promoting The Sound of Freedom. My husband got to work with Jim Caviezel on another small film, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, and said he was kind, humble, and hardworking. My husband thinks a lot of Mr Caviezel after working with him and my husband is not easily impressed by the rich and famous, quite the opposite really. So it was hard for me to read that Guardian Article smearing Caviezel by some schmuck with terminal Trump Derangement Syndrome who has never met let alone spent enough time with him to form any sort of opinion on his character.

The fact that Hollywood will ignore and lambaste men like Jim Caviezel and Henry Cavill but protect and celebrate monsters like Ezra Miller and Amber Heard should tell you all you need to know about Hollywood. I’m glad Angel Studios is making enough money to be a viable alternative to Hollywood’s garbage and I’m glad Operation Underground Railroad is getting some attention. Since my husband and I are going to have rare access to a babysitter the next week I think we are going to try and see both The Sound of Freedom and Mission Impossible 7 because the wailing and gnashing of teeth coming from Hollywood and Disney when that farce of Indy 5 is thoroughly thrashed by an independent film and by Tom Cruise is going to be beautiful to behold.

Doctor, if you look up Leo McCarey movies, the results will knock you flat. He was one of the great, unknown directors of The Great Era.

Have you heard of, let alone seen, what McCarey thought he should have won an Academy Award for instead of The Awful Truth, a movie called Make Way for Tomorrow? It's said to be marvelous, but I can't find it anywhere outside of expensive things like The Criterion Collection.

Yes, I’ve seen it, it’s fantastic and heart wrenching. Pretty sure I saw it on TCM back when I had cable. More here:
