I had that exact same lecture at OHSU nursing school. Any student who dared raise a concern about a patient who was watching the clock for the next pain med was soundly dismissed and re-educated about the need to believe patients’ pain levels and aggressively treat pain to keep patients comfortable.
As a Registered Nurse, the big push to make Pain, the 6th vital sign, has always struck me as something that was unattainable and way to subjective to be of much use. I’m sorry, if I have a patient that is calmly playing on their phone or chatting away with a family member in the room, I have a hard time objectively believing them when they state their pain is a 10/10. I have seen 10/10 pain before and there is never anything calm about it.
That first paragraph - amen. I remember back in 1999 or 2000 attending a Purdue sponsored program on chronic pain and chemical dependency. I was excited because at first it seemed that they were finally acknowledging addiction in the treatment of chronic pain… How wrong I was. I fought so hard to help people understand what was going on to no avail at the time. So I changed careers and did my best to help as many as I could before watching the cycle repeat itself with the advent of buprenorphine for the treatment of addiction. That truck has had over 20 years to be the “miracle drug” that it was supposed to be and all it’s done is kick the can down the road. Thank God I was presented with the learnings I was when presented; I’ve been fortunate to have been able to help a lot of people with CNCP - with and without addiction - have better quality lives.
When it comes to the "domination of medical education", how, exactly, does one craft an "article" with subject matter such as this, without mentioning, NOT EVEN ONCE, how the Rockefeller foundation took over modern medicine education through their grant programs?
How do you not even MENTION it?
Be honest. Are you here just to point fingers at a scapegoat and away from the real perpetrators?
Folks, the Ashkenazi-Jew-Rothschild-connected Rockefeller foundation is what took over "modern medicine".
I'd just...LOVE...to know how you don't mention this. How you don't mention the connections to Standard Oil and the cancer explosion in this country caused by petroleum-based "medications"? How the Rockefeller foundation created the "American Cancer Society" to provide positive PR spin to make it look like they're fighting AGAINST cancer, rather than PROFITING FROM IT.
Dude...how did you skip over, literally, the most important, the most far reaching, the most impactful factor in the takeover of modern medicine?
I was gonna mention all that but at the ashkenazi Jew meeting last week one of the Rothschilds paid my mortgage in return for me cutting that part out, sorry

No, seriously...how?

Ok that made me laugh out loud 🤣
So, you admit that you wrote an article with as much substance as your reply to my comment.
So long as we all understand what happened here just now.
